10 minute-20 minute ride to Washington DC, depending on traffic. Great customer service. The hotel has a restaurant and snack store. I didn't get a chance to enjoy these areas because I was in town for an event. The parking garage is attached to the building. Plenty of parking. I didn't like the one-way driveway in front of the hotel. I reserved a standard king room. It was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave are in the room. There are restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.

Love this hotel. I was late for breakfast my first day and they had closed but people were still seated and food still out. They didn't HAVE to let me in but Joanne did. She was so nice and accommodating. It was such a kind gesture that genuinely didn't affect her but she could have stuck to the cutoff time, saying no and forcing me to go somewhere else and just setting my day back. These small things are what sets hotels apart and can really put a bump in someone's day. I loved the customer service here and whenever I am in the area, this will be my preferred place. The rooms are updated, AC works. The beds could be a little but comfier but not a big deal.

The water pressure in my shower was poor, and the hot water took forever to get hot on the first day. The temperature was fine on the second day but the water pressure was still terrible. You cannot turn the shower water on or off without getting wet. Whatever the temperature is right out of the chute, you are going to feel it. There was no makeup mirror provided; I asked the front desk but they did not have one. They provided a bar of " face soap " but that is all that was provided for washing your hands. Very nice cross bar in the shower for shaving legs Breakfast "buffet" is $17!! And is a very basic breakfast like most of those that are included with the room (free!) at similar hotels. Plenty of 110 and USB outlets all around the room. Quality of toiletries was poor. I had to use a large amount of shampoo in order to get enough to make suds, and the 'conditioner' was more of a cream rinse. Not conditioning at all. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8:10 a.m. on the day of checkout but couldn't tell me what she wanted because "no English". Another person knocked again at 10:30 to find out if I had checked out. Nice that check out is Noon, but ...
